Blog:Supercharging - Here, There & Everywhere
My days at Tesla are never dual, and although the tangible work my teammates and I do is mainly experienced by the general public via the World Wide Web—e.g. tesla.com—our work is interdependent across the company, across various disciplines and mediums.
When we do this—work collaboratively with an interdependent mindset—we lend ourselves to creating scalable, sustainable and remarkable solutions.
Essentially, if we are to succeed in achieving our company's vision, we must work closely and collaboratively with others; we must also seek to understand one another's respective goals and challenges within the System we're working under to ensure that our solutions are not only sustainable and scalable, but equitable.
With that said, I'm excited about the recent supercharging milestone: delivering more than 1 GWh of energy to Model S vehicles in a single month. Personally, I take this to mean that we're, collectively, helping move the needle forward with accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
I personally feel that the cross-functional, interdependent work my colleagues and I are doing now, is in some way, a form of environmental and social justice.
What this also means to me, personally, is that we are "that much" closer to making sustainable transport accessible to more of the general population who are currently priced-out of being able to participate in an eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle: from leisure activities, such as roadtrips with the family, to the everyday things in life, such as commuting to work or getting groceries. With this in mind, I personally feel that the work my colleagues and I are doing now, and committed to, is in some way, a form of environmental and social justice.
But we can't do it alone, and we haven't
Hat tip to my co-workers across the company and to the supporters (customers) who are in a position to be able to invest in our work right now for a more sustainable world for everyone in the foreseeable future. ⚡️✨🙌🏽
Exciting times are ahead. Onward.
I operate from a place of compassion, possibility and imagination. My work and efforts share a common goal: create a better, sustainable and equitable world by building inclusive communities, products & experiences.
